Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) fishing for breakfast at the tip of the jetty where Mill Creek spills into Lewis Bay, Cape Cod. Sailboats moored in Hyannis outer harbor in the distance. A sequence of ~100 images were made over a 20 minute period showing this beautiful creature spearing a fish and devouring it. The brown coloring, black crown and no plumes indicates this bird is a juvenile.
